Didcot Neighbourhood Action Group
The Didcot Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) met for the first time on 3 March 2008. NAG members from the community and local organisations elected Margaret Davies, who represents voluntary groups in the town, as the chair.
Didcot NAG covers the whole of Didcot from Mendip Heights to Fleetmeadow including Ladygrove. Its current top priority, set by Didcot residents, is tackling antisocial behaviour. The NAG will also work closely with the Didcot Community Forum to make sure that all consultation is representative of the community.
At the NAG's meeting in April, the group was tasked with gathering as much information as possible about wehre the problems are, when they happen and who is causing them. We will keep residents informed of their progress via the Didcot Community Forum and NAG newsletter, which you can find by clicking here.
What is a Neighbourhood Action Group?
NAGs are set up to deal with key community safety issues identified by the community. They are volunteer working groups made up of representatives from the community and local organisations, which problem solve on behalf of the community and ensure tasks are completed. They are also the 'doers', accountable locally for responding to problems that communities want to tackle.
